From the ashes of C-86 came the wonderful Sarah Records. Songs about love, loss, lust and yearning for kids who mourned the death of Postcard. The bands were described as ‘twee’, ‘shambling’, ‘jingle-jangle’ or as @ would describe it ‘wimp rock’. In other words all the ingredients for classic, intelligent pop.


If Belle and Sebastian had been around ten years earlier they would have been on Sarah.
